This review is only for the Riverbend Angler Cabins, which a group of us rented for 3 nights. I am rating this property a two star for the following reasons.

Great place, better fishing!

2. As we approached the property, it was obvious the screen on the front door was ripped in half and not repairable. The house was supposed to have been cleaned prior to our arrival. What we found was a floor covered in insects from a recent hatch. They covered the windowsills, the bathroom floor, the bedroom windows, and the area in front of the sliding glass door. It looked as though the house was cleaned, but some time ago and obviously not prior to our arrival.

For the price, the property is not worth it unless you want to bring a kitchens worth of useable gadgets, a screen door repair kit, a propane bottle, firewood, and a shop vac. I am giving the property 2 stars because it would not take much to make this a great place to stay.

1. The kitchen is not stocked with even the most basic kitchen items. I counted 8 pans, none of which had lids and zero pots, other than one very large stock pot. The utensil drawers were full of broken and useless items. There were a few spoons, a ladle, a couple of knives. There was not a spatula, colander, or any baking pans. There is a microwave, but no non metal pans or bowls to use in it. One of the burners on the range is inoperative. The table seats 6-8 but there are only 4 bowls, mixed glasses, several plates and tableware. If you are doing your own cooking, I would highly recommend finding another property.

3. The gas grill was low on propane.

This was one of the best trips I have ever been on. The cabins are first class, large and very clean and are located in one of the best locations in the area just outside of town and overlooking the riverbend. The views of the river are incredible. It is a short drive to Fort Smith, the boat launch, the pick up point. We actually rented both cabins as we had a group of 10 although we probably could have fit in one. The whole crew caught plenty of fish, even the guys that had no experience. Excellent accommodations and trip all the way around.

4. The plasma TV was indeed a plasma TV, which was made back in the analog days. All it's connections were with AV cables. A rather convoluted system of different components gave you cable, but nothing you could plug in. There was allegedly a place to plug in an iPod but 6 of us could not find it and none of us carry around an iPod.

Classic fly shop. Knowledgeable. Polite. Professional. Clean and upscale accommodations. Top notch guides.

To the owners; please go to Costco, Target, Walmart, or even a good thrift store and replace everything in the kitchen with useable items, buy a stove from sears that works, fix the front screen door, replace your "entertainment system" with something made this decade and make sure your property is truly clean before your customers use it.

5. The property has a nice fireplace, but comes with no firewood and there is no place to purchase firewood locally.
